Before you book
- When can we arrive and leave?
- Arrival is from 4pm and departure is by 10am. Changeover day is Friday.
- Can we bring our dogs?
- Yes, up to two dogs are welcome; additional charges may apply. The grassy front garden is unenclosed and neighbours use the path and driveway to reach their bins, while the gated garden at the bottom is private to guests.
- Where do we park?
- There is private, off-road parking for three cars.
- How are the bedrooms and bathrooms arranged?
- Upstairs are two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin room under the eaves, where the ceiling slopes low towards the wall. The family bathroom, with a bath, also sits under a sloping ceiling. Downstairs there is a separate shower room off the hall.
- Is it suitable for young children?
- A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. All three bedrooms are on the first floor.
- What is provided?
- Towels are included, along with Wi-Fi, a welcome hamper of local products and an initial supply of logs for both wood burners. The kitchen has an electric double oven, induction hob, Nespresso machine and dishwasher, and there is a washing machine in the utility room.
- How far is it to the beach and the shops?
- Seahouses shops, pubs and restaurants are half a mile away and the beach is under a mile; guests describe the walk into the village as 10 to 15 minutes. Bamburgh is three miles up the coast and Holy Island about 20 miles.
- Is the cottage decorated for Christmas?
- Yes. The cottage is decorated for Christmas for festive stays.
